Art & Music

Fine Arts at 74th Street

Our 3d printing club meets once a week during the 5th graders lunch time and part of recess. The students will learn about the 3d printer and how to create prints. We will learn how to use the website Tinkercad to design our 3d design that will later be printed.

The students will have to plan, analyze and sometimes revise their artwork to have a successful print.  The prints will vary from keychains, jewelry to creating an avatar to that represents themselves. It is a lot of fun! Once the art is printed, they will have to sand part of the prints down and paint them.

This program deals a lot with innovative thinking and working through creative solutions to help communicate and execute their ideas.

PreK-5th grade students will attend a weekly music class. Through movement, singing, and playing instruments, students will experience the joy of making music and develop as confident young musicians. Students in kindergarten-3rd grade will have opportunities to perform at either the winter or spring concerts throughout the school year. In addition to general music class, students can join extracurriculars such as Ukulele Ensemble, Chorus, Orchestra, and Jaguar Drumline.
